Marilyn is survived by longtime friend Gail E. Schneider and cousins Judith Garvey (Hugh) Bondanza, John (Linda Bain) Garvey, and James (Claudia Emerson) Garvey, and the late Mary Garvey (David) Szczesny. Godmother of Michael Szczesny, Courtney Bondanza, and Alanna Gain. Forever friend of Eileen Olden and chihuahua friend Eva the Diva. Daughter of the late Ambrose and Marie (Garvey) Moran.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Teresa’s Church.
Marilyn graduated from Mt. Mercy Academy, attended ECC, and became a computer programmer. She worked at NY Telephone (now Verizon) for 30 years. After retiring, she became a freelance journalist for magazines and newspapers and a columnist for a disabled publication.
