Passed away September 28, 2024 at her South Buffalo home surrounded by her family. Born in Lennoxtown, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late James Carlin and Margaret Tison Scott Carlin. Janet was sadly predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick F. O’Sullivan Sr. on March 26, 2007. She is the cherished mother of Michael D. (Jane) O’Sullivan, Patrick F. (Lisa) O’Sullivan Jr, James A. (Sharon) O’Sullivan, John V. O’Sullivan, Stephen G. O’Sullivan, Noreen E. (late Paul) Hoeflich, Rachel A. (Matt) Steinbroner, the late Margaret A. O’Sullivan (Peter Heffernan), the late Christopher R. O’Sullivan and the late Janet M. O’Sullivan; beloved grandmother of 16; and dear great-grandmother to 13; sister of David (Irene) Carlin, James (Ann) Carlin , the late Michael Carlin, and the late Thomas Carlin. Janet is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear friends.
Jenny was a retired Home Healthcare Aide. She was a member of the Buffalo Irish Center, founding Member of CAPERS (Children and Parents Enjoying Recreation) and member of the St. Pat’s Club. She enjoyed tending to her garden, listening to music and dancing, preparing Meals for Family Dinner, but most of all loving all of her family and her extended family that called her “Grandma O.”
The family will be present to receive relatives and friends on Wednesday October 2 from 3-8 PM at THE THOMAS H. MC CARTHY FUNERAL HOME 1975 Seneca St. South Buffalo, NY. Jenny’s Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 9:30 AM in St. Teresa R.C. Church, 1974 Seneca St. South Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery Lackawanna, NY. Memorials in Jenny’s memory may be sent to People Inc.
