Babe….a wonderful co- worker!!! Always a smile and making work fun for all. When she retired we celebrated her. At her party I will never forget the speech…and I will quote her.. “Dental Assisting it’s Not Rocket Science” ….Rest in peace my friend.😔❤️
Kenny and family …my deepest regrets
Carm, I remember that retirement party very very well, here is pat of my speech that night when we toasted Babe on her retirement:
October 1 2010:
South Buffalo Irish Center
“… And that being said, while we are all here to remember Babe’s influence on our early careers as an assistant we need to praise her and thank her for her work as an educator. She taught us the need to be ready when we ask to be checked off, she taught us to help a patient relax with a laugh, she taught us we could always expect Dr. Garlapo to find the slightest speck of overhung amalgam, but most importantly she taught us to dream of our life when we graduated and put those many lessons into practice for our patients and ourselves. Call her a friend, co-worker, or colleague, but above all else call Babe our teacher, so let’s raise a glass to the teacher who’s assisted us to dream big and get out those doors!’
She simply had”it”! One of a kind. As my daughter Hannah stayed,” we were blessed to have her in our lives” 🙏❤️☘️
…stated, 😔💔
Babe never let me forget that on the day snow started falling on what would become known as the “October Surprise” I shrugged my shoulders and said to her “Maybe we’ll get a snow day tomorrow,” not knowing how devastating a storm it would become. Forevermore afterwards, if it was snowing at all, she would tell me “Don’t say a word about it Dr. Yetto.” We will all miss her.
I worked with Babe for years on first floor. She always had me smiling.! She was great at her job and fun to be with! She will be missed!
